In keeping with HPCT’s mission to Provide • Inspire • Educate, we must take the safety and well-being of all members of our HPCT family into consideration during this ongoing global pandemic. As an organization, we are committed to doing all we can to ensure the health and safety of everyone who participates in our programs including students, actors, and audience members. To participate in our productions, we will require until further notice all actors, volunteers, and other participants ages 12 and over to show proof of full vaccination status/proof of being in the process of becoming fully vaccinated.

We are looking for our Tina! Seeking an actress age 15-25 to play an aspiring child actress who will do anything to get the lead. Must be able to tap; huge personality, strong belt up to E-flat. Must be ok with using strong language and those under 18 will need to get parental consent. This "little girl" is 8 going on 38. Will need to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination at auditions.

All other roles have been cast.

Please prepare a 30-60 second, memorized musical selection in the style of the show. An accompanist will be available so please provide your own sheet music in the correct key. A sound system will be available for those using a track, but it is not preferred. Acapella auditions are strongly discouraged.

Video auditions must be submitted to hpct.info@gmail.com by 7:00pm, Monday, December 20, 2021. Videos should include a 30-60 second vocal audition with accompaniment, prepared side, and the provided dance combination. Completed audition form, conflict calendar, and proof of vaccination must be included in your email.

Ruthless! famously spoofs Broadway musicals such as Gypsy and Mame, as well as classic films like The Bad Seed and All About Eve. Ruthless! is a hilarious romp through the world of Broadway, child acting, parenthood, and unbridled ambition.

Runtime: Approx. 1 hour and 45 minutes with a 15-minute intermission.
